kanon
Section 02 · Methodology

The method.

Senior practitioners. AI-enhanced. The same standard, delivered faster — without compromising the rigor the work demands.

02.0Senior end-to-end

Kanon is deliberately small and deliberately senior. Every engagement is led by a partner who carries the work end to end. We do not staff with juniors and oversee from a distance.

The partner who scopes the engagement is the partner who runs the discovery, signs the findings, and presents to the regulator or the board. That continuity is the product.

02.1AI where it sharpens the work

Where it serves the client, we use AI to compress the parts of the work that have always been slow — document review, regulatory mapping, evidence reconciliation, redline comparison across revisions of a standard.

The judgment, the sign-off, and the sitting in front of a regulator remain ours. The methodology accelerates the work; it does not replace the rigor the work demands.

In a sentence

The standard is the rod. The work is to lay it true.

02.2The four principles

— 01 Selective by design

We accept few engagements. Each is matched to a partner whose record fits the work. If we cannot do it well, we say so and refer.

— 02 Independent by structure

No conflicting offerings. No delivery arm dependent on assurance findings. Independence is the product, not a marketing claim.

— 03 Defensible by craft

Every finding is traceable to evidence. Every recommendation written to be read in a regulator's hearing room.

— 04 Accelerated by tooling

AI-enhanced where it sharpens the work. Human-led where judgment is the work. Never the other way around.

02.3In practice

We are most useful at the points where regulation, engineering, and human reality meet — the seams that other firms paper over. Stage-gate reviews. System maturity assessments. Audits that the regulator will read. Discovery reports that survive the next leadership change.
