Direct, when it serves.

A first conversation is a phone call, not a form. If your work sits inside the firm's practice, we will say so plainly. If it does not, we will say that too — and refer where we can.

A note on engagement
"We are unhurried in how we begin and unwavering in how we finish."

Tell us what you're working on. If we are the right firm for it, we will move quickly. If we are not, we will say so — and where appropriate, refer to a firm or practitioner who is.

04.1How we begin

An engagement begins with a single conversation, usually thirty minutes, occasionally longer. We do not require a brief or a procurement document at that stage. We require enough that we can tell you, honestly, whether this is work we should be doing.

If it is, we follow with a written scope — tight, defensible, costed. The scope is the contract.
